About Flo…

The Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta has designated Flo Slomp as an Expert Witness.

Flo is someone who can step back and see the whole picture, understand short/long term ramifications, yet can implement creative, yet pragmatic solutions.  She has a strong interdisciplinary philosophy, skills in rehabilitation which have been shown repeatedly.  Both program development and evaluation have been developed in the private and public sectors.  Critical thinking and client advocacy are used in her clinical practice regularly.

Flo has extensive teaching experience:  from Anatomy to Stress Management to the development of workshops that teach Intensive Biomechanics for Proper Lifting. She has taught/consulted in post secondary institutions such as Grant MacEwan Community College, Alberta Vocation College, Norquest, University of Alberta and The University College.

In Michigan, she attended Calvin College where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education/Biology.  It was at Calvin that she discovered Exercise Physiology careers in a Health Care setting that peaked her interest enough to start graduate school immediately following the completion of her first degree.
She received her Master of Science from the University of Alberta, and played a significant role in the pioneer development of Exercise Therapy.  The Exercise Therapy field was developed at the WCB Rehabilitation Centre in Edmonton, Alberta and is currently used through out Canada.   Flo later went into the private sector and eventually went on to start her own consulting business.
